The Unfinished Letter Grey and Anahareo walked a rocky road of love at times. It became more apparent after he started his serious writing. By the time they were located to Beaver Lodge, Lake Ajawaan in the Prince Albert National Park, Grey Owl did most of his writing during the long night hours. He was nocturnal like the beaver. As the result of this lifestyle, Anahareo became isolated from his affection and companionship. She left him for good in 1937 and never returned to the cabin while Grey Owl was alive. The Unfinished Letter is symbolic of Grey Owl's attitude as well. Bob Richardson |
