image THE TALKING WATERS

Artist's conception from THE ADVENTURES OF SAJO AND HER BEAVER PEOPLE, BY GREY OWL.

"Sajo would lie in the shade of the great pine looking up between the giant branches, and when the sunbeams glanced through, it looked very beautiful, like some soar-off undiscovered country where the fairies and other strange beings, and she sometimes wondererd if that was where the spirits lived who spoke to peeple from the talking waters."
